Sarah Silverman will guest-star on The League as the sister of Paul Scheer's Andre, a show rep confirms.
Co-creator Jeff Schaffer tells TVGuide.com that the appearance of Andre's sister will be a very special homecoming for the entire gang. "She's the one who sort of gave all the other guys their first taste of sexuality and then she blew up to about 300 pounds," he said earlier this month. Does this mean she'll be donning a fat suit or perhaps some heavy latex for the episode? We can only hope!
The League cast and producers talk Season 3
In the same Thanksgiving-themed episode, Jeff Goldblum will play Ruxin's (Nick Kroll) father — a casting teased on Twitter earlier this week. "Sarah and Jeff are funny and fearless enough to play Andre's sister and Ruxin's father," Jeff and Jackie Marcus Schaffer told Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the casting. "And they didn't flinch when we told them all of the crazy things they'd be doing with our cast. Fools!"
Silverman, 40, and Goldblum, 58, join other upcoming Season 3 guest stars including Will Forte, Eliza Dushku and Ray Liotta. Silverman most recently appeared on The Good Wife and Goldblum was last seen on the small screen in Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
