Lauren Conrad Happy to Leave The Hills

Breaking news! Lauren Conrad expressed some real emotions as she said goodbye to The Hills.
"It was a bittersweet night for me," she said in a June 2 post on her MySpace blog. "A part of me is sad to say goodbye to something that has been such a prominent part of my life, but I know that it was time and I am very happy with my decision."
Conrad thanked her fans for their encouragement. "While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn't always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference," she said.
Coming up next for Conrad, she has authored a novel titled L.A. Candy, which hits shelves June 16, and a fashion line for the Kohl's department stores that will launch in October. "I have some interesting projects in the works and I will keep you all updated," she said.
As for the new season of The Hills, the star reveals: "From what I've heard, the next season will not disappoint."
