Larry King to Host Peabody Awards

Larry King will host this year's Peabody Awards ceremony.

The oldest and most prestigious honor in electronic media, the Peabodys were established in 1940 and are administered by the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The honorees are chosen each spring by a 16-member board of academics, TV critics, and experts in culture and the arts. They'll be handed out May 23.

King himself has received two Peabodys in his career. His first came in 1980 for his nightly syndicated radio program and his second in 1992 for the election coverage on his CNN show Larry King Live.
