LL Cool J Will Be First Grammy's Host in 7 Years

LL Cool J

LL Cool J will serve as host of this year's Grammy Awards, ending several years of a no-host format, the Recording Academy announced Wednesday.

"I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night," LL Cool J said in a statement. "I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true."

The show has not had a host since Queen Latifah in 2005.

A two-time Grammy winner himself, LL Cool J has hosted the live nominations concert since 2008, but this will be his first stint at the actual awards show.

The 54th Grammy Awards ceremony airs live Sunday, Feb. 12 at 8/7c on CBS. Performers will include Kelly Clarkson, Foo Fighters, Adele, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift.
