Kings Gets Royally Shooed Again, Moved to Summer

Kings' Ian McShane and Christopher Egan

Mel Brooks was wrong — it's not good to be the king.

NBC has once again shuttled around Kings, its ambitious if poorly received new drama series, yanking it from its Saturdays-at-8 slot after just one airing. Kings originally called Sunday home, but was banished after four low-rated outings.

Kings now will conclude its freshman run (seven episodes remain to be seen) over the summer, airing Saturdays at 8 pm/ET, from June 13 through July 25.

Taking Silas' place for the interim on Saturday night will be repeats of Law & Order: SVU, Southland and Law & Order.
