Larry King and his wife Shawn King

Larry King's wife Shawn Southwick-King overdosed on pills last month, reports RadarOnline.com.

The CNN host's wife was found conscious by her father, Karl Engemann, on May 29 at her Provo, Utah, home, according to a 911 call obtained by Radar.

"She may have overmedicated," he tells the 911 operator. "She's unconscious. I slap her and I holler at her and she opens her eyes halfway and puts them back down again."

When asked if the attempt was intentional, Engemann said it wasn't.

"No, no. No, it wouldn't be suicidal," Engemann said. "I don't think she did it on purpose. Last night she seemed confused about what she had taken, the last time she had taken it."

Though Engemann said he wasn't aware of what drugs she had taken, he added that she was taking "something to help with her anxiety and her depression."

The Larry King Live host, 76, filed for a divorce from his 50-year-old singer wife in April and the two reconciled the following month. The couple, who wed in 1997, have two sons together: Chance, 11, and Cannon, 9.

King has been married eight times to seven women.

A call to King's rep was not immediately returned.
