Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Strug Lands Husband

Kerri Strug

Gold medal-winning gymnast Kerri Strug has landed a husband.

Best known for her vault while injured in the 1996 Summer Olympics, she married lawyer Robert Fischer at sunset Sunday in her hometown of Tucson, Ariz., according to People.

The bride, 32, wore a Pronovias gown customized with more than 5,000 Swarovski crystals. The reception featured hundreds of orchids and a fireworks display.

Olympic teammate Dominique Moceanu and former coach Bela Karolyi were among the 200 guests.

Strug is still remembered for clinching a gold medal for the U.S. women's gymnastics team at the Atlanta Olympics by sticking the landing of her second vault despite a serious ankle injury.
