Actress Keri Russell had a rude awakening Wednesday when she heard burglars inside her rental home in Brooklyn, the New York Daily News reports.
The Americans star heard footsteps and chatter coming from the upstairs part of her brownstone at about 3 a.m. Wednesday, but the burglars were gone by the time she went into the room to investigate, according to the News. They reportedly made off with Russell's laptop, some jewelry and a Filson bag.

Police arrested an uncle and a nephew — Ronald Swindell, 50, and Steffon Swindell, 19 — whom they say entered Russell's home through an open window on the first floor, the Newsreports. The stolen items were recovered and returned to Russell.
Russell's husband, Shane Deary, and their children, 23-month-old Willa Lou and 6-year-old River, were not home at the time of the burglary. The family is renting the home while their permanent residence is undergoing renovations, according to the News.
