Preston and husband John Travolta have grieved in private since the sudden death of their son in January, but Preston is set to speak about it at the California Governor's Conference for Women in October, according to People.

"If she can empower one other woman who feels like they can't get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it'll be worthwhile sharing her story," said the event's host, Maria Shriver.
Joining Preston for the "Grief & Resilience" panel will be Elizabeth Edwards and actress Susan St. James.
