The stars came out for the Hollywood opening of Hair's three-week run at the Pantages Theater, and a man famous for being follicly challenged was in the audience, Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander. Jason said he is awaiting notes from CBS on his new pilot script, which he describes as a dramedy. "It requires me to play more than one person and has a detective storyline," said Jason, who would be casting two other lead roles. "Right now it's just a script."
Guest Greg Grunberg admitted he's found it "frustrating" that NBC has yet to schedule his new anthology comedy, Love Bites. "They love it, but they don't know where to put it," explained Greg. "We did nine episodes with some great guest stars like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jeffrey Tambor and (SNL alum) Chris Parnell." While he's waiting to hear the show's fate, Greg is going to take off to shoot a film.
Another ticket holder, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, fresh from a table read with Shelley Long for a February episode of Modern Family, said Hair is a show for which he's long had great affection. "I've actually done this show twice — once with Idina Menzel," Ferguson said. "The music is unbelievable, though storyline-wise you have to pretend you're on some sort of 60's drug trip."
