Katie Coming Back for Second Season

Katie Couric

Katie Couric's self-named daytime talk show has been renewed for a second season, Deadline reports.

Katie, which just nabbed a headline-making sit-down interview with Manti Te'o and his parents, is the top freshman talk show among households and total viewers. The show also comes in at No. 6 among all daytime chat fests.

However, Katie just lost its executive producer, longtime Today boss Jeff Zucker, who left to become the new president of CNN.

Couric, 56, jumped to daytime after five years at the CBS Evening News desk. She also co-hosted Today for 15 years.

Are you glad Katie will be back?
