Katherine McPhee Moves into NBC's Pink House

American Idol's Katharine McPhee is heading to primetime with a leading role in the NBC pilot The Pink House, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The pilot, from producers Scott Stuber, Rick Wiener and Kenny Schwartz, follows Midwesterners who move to Los Angeles. McPhee, 25, will play Emily, a down-to-Earth pharmaceutical rep.

McPhee made her movie debut starring opposite Anna Faris in The House Bunny. She has also guest-starred on several TV shows, including CSI: NY and Ugly Betty.
