Katherine Heigl is suing pharmacy chain Duane Reade for more than $6 million for using a paparazzi photograph of her in social media advertising, the New York Post reports.
Earlier this year, Heigl, 35, was photographed leaving a Duane Reade in Manhattan with shopping bags in hand. Duane Reade subsequently posted the picture on its Facebook and Twitter pages. "Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can't resist shopping #NYC's favorite drugstore," the store captioned its tweet, on March 18.

Heigl contends that Duane Reade is wrongfully trying to profit off of her image and says her "likeness was misappropriated," according to the Post.
The Grey's Anatomy alum, who will next star in NBC's upcoming pilot State of Affairs, is seeking at least $6 million in damages and says that she'll donate any money she's awarded to the animal charity she founded in honor of her late brother.
