Katharine McPhee has a new gig and a new 'do to match!
The American Idol runner-up has darkened her hair for her new NBC pilot The Pink House, People reports.

"It's always nice to have a reason to go back," the 26-year-old natural brunet said of the change from the blond locks she debuted in August. "I loved having blond hair -- it's so much fun."
Blond may have been more fun, but McPhee says she was happy to return to a darker color for multiple reasons. "Blond was pretty hard on my hair," she told People. I guess my hair is thanking me now!"
McPhee, who guest-starred on Community in March, begins shooting The Pink House pilot this month.
