Easy Rider actress Karen Black is trying her hand at online fundraising to help pay for her two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.
Black, 73, launched a GoFundMe.com page to raise $17,000 for a two-month treatment in Europe. The campaign, which started on March 14, has already collected more than $43,000 as of Tuesday.

"In the last two years we have used up all of our savings keeping Karen alive — traveling, treatments, getting people to help her. We have nothing left. And the European treatment is not covered by insurance," her husband Stephen Eckelberry wrote on the fundraising page.
Black was first diagnosed with ampullary cancer back in November 2010. She underwent surgery to have one-third of her pancreas removed, and also had chemotherapy and radiation therapy before she was declared cancer-free. However, the disease returned in June and has infected her lower back and lungs. Since then, Eckelberry says, she can "hardly move around and is mostly bed-bound."
