VIDEO: Justin Bieber Pulls Double Duty on SNL

Justin Bieber and Jason Sudeikis

Saturday Night Live was all Justin Bieber all the time last night, as the teen heartthrob acted as both the host and the musical guest. How did he do? Let's check out some of the highlights:

In his opening monologue, Bieber honored both Valentine's Day and Black History Month, approaching female members of the audience with flowers to charm them and also offer some (slightly inaccurate) facts about black history.

The show skewered Bravo's tendency to spin off reality shows from one another with this promo, highlighting "The Real Houseplants of Beverly Hills" and a show about Francis Ford Coppola's granddaughter's best friends, among others.

Bieber pulled off comedic timing better than many of the show's past hosts, but couldn't manage to keep a straight face during this sketch, which featured Taran Killam as Bieber's girlfriend's overprotective big brother.

"Attention teachers and students!" Jay Pharoah resurrected his exasperated Principal Frye character for the last sketch of the night, in which Bieber played the nerdy head of the social committee, who came up with the Valentine's Day dance's theme of "Hooray for Abstinence."
