Forgive that headline, because Julie Benz is actually one of the sweetest actresses I've ever met. And I'm thrilled she's just landed a fun role on USA's Royal Pains.
Julie, best known for her roles on Dexter and No Ordinary Family, will play a young mother named Elyse. After an accident on the family farm leaves her with a nasty wound that won't heal, Dr. Hank (Mark Feuerstein) is called into action by her daughter Libby (Meredith Hagner).
Julie's experience as a lesbian stripper on Desperate Housewives should come in handy, as Elyse just so happens to be a lesbian farmer with a wife named Anna. The episode will air Aug. 3.
