Breaking Bad alum Jonathan Banks has joined Bob Odenkirk on the upcoming prequel series Better Call Saul, Deadline reports.
The new series, which will debut on AMC in November, centers on Odenkirk's lawyer character, Saul Goodman. Banks, who played private investigator/fixer Michael "Mike" Ehrmantraut on the Emmy-winning series for more than two seasons, will be a series regular on Better Call Saul.
25 totally unnecessary spin-offs
Banks earned an Emmy nomination for his performance on the beloved drama, which wrapped its five-season run in September. Because Better Call Saul is set before the events of Breaking Bad, there is the possibility that other characters from the series may pop up in the prequel.
Banks is currently recurring on Community. Are you excited Banks will be a part of Better Call Saul?
