Jon & Kate Plus 8
Jon & Kate Plus 8's ratings tumbled during its return episodes, losing about 6 million viewers from its highly buzzed divorce announcement show in June.
Monday's first half hour averaged 4.0 million viewers, while the second episode grew to 4.2 million, according to TLC. The ratings dropped 61 percent from the June 22 episode, which featured the couple announcing their separation. That episode, which kicked off a six-week hiatus, was seen by 10.6 million viewers, making it the most-watched episode in the series' history.

Though the most recent episode is also down considerably from this season's premiere (9.8 million viewers), the tally is better than the 3 million viewers the show averaged before the tabloid scandals emerged.
Still, the stark drop-off jibes with a TVGuide.com poll in which 60 percent of viewers said they would not continue to watch the show in its new single-parent format.
