Napoleon Dynamite is coming to TV — or rather, Jon Heder is. The actor has inked a deal to star in a new Comedy Central sitcom described by the network as "groundbreaking," and to be written and produced by Will Ferrell.

Debuting in 2010, the as-yet-untitled series will star Heder as an unemployed IT specialist who moves back in with his parents and younger brother in their small hometown. Comedy Central has ordered 10 episodes with the option to pick up the series for 90 more should it have a successful first season.

Ferrell, who played Heder's ice-partner-in-crime in 2007's Blades of Glory, will write and produce the comedy with Adam McKay and Chris Henchy under their Gary Sanchez Productions banner.

"We've always been fans of Jon's," McKay said in a statement. "This deal gives us a chance to take some big creative swings without the risk of testing and focus grouping the show to death."

Heder is no stranger to the small screen: He guest-starred in a 2008 episode of the now-defunct My Name Is Earl.
