Jennifer Westfeldt and Jon Hamm
Longtime couple Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt have taken the next big step in their relationship: forming a production company.
The Mad Men star and Westfeldt, a screenwriter/actress, have launched Points West Pictures, which will find them collaborating on- and off-screen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Already in the pipeline are three projects — two to be penned by Westfeldt — including an adaptation of Cusi Cram's play, Dusty and the Big Bad World. Based on Bustergate, the 2005 PBS censorship scandal, Dusty is about an 11-year-old girl with gay fathers who wins a contest for her family to appear on her brother's favorite TV show. When a Christian group threatens to cancel the show's funding, the episode is pulled. Westfeldt will write and star in the film.
Hamm and Westfeldt have been together since 1997. They costarred in the 2001 indie hit Kissing Jessica Stein, written by Westfeldt.
