Johnny Depp to Appear in 21 Jump Street Film

Johnny Depp, the best known original cast member of the 21 Jump Street TV series, will make a cameo in its forthcoming film adaptation, ComingSoon.net reports.
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are set to star in the movie version of the series that ran from 1987 to 1991.

Depp played Officer Tom Hanson in the TV show, which co-starred Holly Robinson Peete (now a co-host of The Talk).
Ice Cube, Brie Larson and Rob Riggle have also been cast in the film, which is being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). It's due in theaters March 16, 2012.
