John Malkovich's passport was among the personal items stolen from his Prague hotel room Thursday, Reuters reports.

"We can confirm than an investigation is under way in the case of the disappearance of Mr. Malkovich's personal belongings," a Mandarin Oriental hotel rep told the news organization. Czech Republic's iDNEZ.cz quoted the Prague Spring Musical Festival's director as saying that Malkovich also had two cell phones stolen from him. Malkovich was in town to perform in the festival's production of the serial-killer melodrama Infernal Comedy.
Malkovich was due in Lotz, Poland on Friday and the burglary delayed his trip by several hours. Once there, he screened his directorial debut, The Dancer Upstairs, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
