Simpson's rep, Lauren Auslander, confirmed news of the impending nuptials, which comes a week after Simpson's ex-husband, Nick Lachey, became engaged to his girlfriend of five years, Vanessa Minnillo.

Simpson, 30, began dating the 31-year-old former National Football League player in May while he was still with his first wife, Keri Johnson. The Johnsons' divorce was finalized last month.
US Weekly first reported the engagement, which another one of Simpson's reps earlier refused to confirm.
