Jessica Alba's post-baby body may have looked great in recent calendar shots, but she's willing to share one of her tricks.
"I wore a girdle," Alba says in the March issue of Elle. "Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist — any kind of band or girdle works."
But Alba says her six-pack hasn't returned, mostly because she's had trouble putting in hours at the gym. "[The workouts] were horrible," Alba says. "I cried. And I haven't worked out since."
Apparently, she's been crying a lot. "That's a new thing — I never cried before," she says. "Just being a mother is making me a big, weepy mess."
As for actually giving birth to her daughter, Honor, Alba says it was no biggie. "Contractions aren't that bad," she says. "If you've ever had bad cramps? That's what they're like. But that moment when they put the baby on your chest — that's deep. It's a deep experience."
