Preparation for Season 2 is set to begin in two weeks in Miami, The Miami Herald reports. The news follows a February report from Movieline that Jersey Shore would shoot in South Beach
MTV defends Snooki after report on drunk driving death
It's not yet known where in Miami the cast will live, but the warmer location makes sense since shooting is scheduled to start in the spring. The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere sometime this summer.
The first season of Jersey Shore, filmed in Seaside Heights, N.J., premiered in December of 2009 to 1.3 million viewers and slowly became a breakout hit for MTV. Season 1's final episode scored series-high ratings, attracting 4.8 million viewers.
