Jenny McCarthy believes Rosie O'Donnell will light a spark under The View when she returns to the chat show this fall.
McCarthy was a bit more diplomatic than her former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck when reacting to O'Donnell's re-hiring. "I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table and there is no doubt that with Rosie there will be some heat," McCarthy told reporters Friday at an event in Las Vegas, according to Us Weekly. "They are definitely going in the direction of fire. ... I will be there with my beer and popcorn at 11 in the morning. I can't wait to see how it plays out."

Added McCarthy: "I love Rosie. I have been a fan of hers forever."
ABC confirmed last week that O'Donnell would be returning to The View, which is still looking to fill two empty seats for the fall. McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters all left the show after last season, andWhoopi Goldberg is the only co-host who will be returning (as moderator).
Hasselbeck slammed the decision to bring O'Donnell back, calling Rosie someone who had "spit in the face of her own network."
