90210 Reunion! Jennie Garth Joins Tori Spelling's Mystery Girls Pilot
Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth
Kelly and Donna are back together ... and solving crimes?!
Jennie Garth has joined longtime Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Tori Spelling on her new ABC Family pilot, Mystery Girls, the cable network announced Monday.
TV show casts that should reunite
Mystery Girls centers on a former starlet who is roped into solving crimes with her former mystery TV show costar when a witness to a crime will only speak to the stars of Mystery Girls — the highest-rated program of the '90s. Spelling will play Holly, who is desperate to regain her former fame and plans to use her acting skills and crime "experience" to open a detective agency. The only caveat? She must convince her former costar-turned-suburban housewife Charlie (Garth) to join her.
Both Spelling and Garth will serve as executive producers on the pilot, which shoots in November.
The worst American accents
After starring on Beverly Hills, 90210 together for the soap's entire 10-year run, Spelling and Garth most recently reunited on the 90210 reboot in 2009, reprising their characters from the original.
Spelling most recently starred in the ABC Family TV movie The Mistle-Tones. Garth headlined her own CMT reality series, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country, in 2012.
