Jeffrey Wright Checks In to House

Jeffrey Wright

Tony and Emmy winner Jeffrey Wright will guest-star on House, a show rep confirms.

Wright will play an acclaimed neurosurgeon and Foreman's mentor who will now be the arbitrator of House's fate, according to TVLine, which first reported the news. The episode, which will air next year, was written by longtime writers Garrett Lerner, Russel Friend and David Foster, and directed by executive producer Greg Yaitanes.

House preps for the end

"This is an example of great writing attracting great talent," Yaitanes says. "We are thrilled to have Jeffrey join us. He brings the heft and magnitude you dream of when pitting a character like this against House. As a fan, I am dying to see the two of them work together."

Wright, who won a Tony and Emmy for his work in Angels in America, can next be seen in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
