"With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana," Aldean wrote on his WhoSay account Monday. "In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."
Aldean had been scheduled to wrap up his tour Saturday night in Dallas, but the show was postponed due to weather. He is slated to go back on the road beginning Jan. 10 of next year.
In the meantime, Aldean will do a sit-down interview for the fifth annual In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Countdown to the CMA Awards. In the 20/20 special, airing Nov. 5 at 10/9c, Aldean will discuss "fame, family, and tabloid headlines he says helped end his marriage." The country crooner filed for divorce in April after he was photographed getting close with former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr in October 2012.
