Report: Jane Lynch to Host the Emmy Awards

Jane Lynch is Fox's first choice to host the Emmy Awards, according to Deadline.com.
Lynch is no stranger to repping the network that also airs her show Glee: She's hosted the past two Fox upfronts presentations in character as Sue Sylvester. Additionally, Lynch hosted last year's VH1 Do Something Awards.

Seth MacFarlane also may be in the running for the hosting gig. The Academy of Television's Arts and Sciences' board of governors reportedly have a meeting Wednesday night, during which they may determine the Emmys host.

The Emmys are scheduled to air on Fox in September.
A representative for Fox did not immediately return a request for comment.
