Jane Kaczmarek Returning to TV as Whitney's New Mom

Jane Kaczmarek has joined the cast of the upcoming NBC sitcom Whitney, Deadline reports.
The former Malcolm in the Middle star, 55, replaces Beverly D'Angelo as the outspoken, and frequently married, mom of Whitney (Whitney Cummings). In the comedy, Cummings and Chris D'Elia play a happily unmarried couple.

Kaczmarek received seven Emmy nominations for her performance on Malcolm and more recently starred on the short-lived TNT drama Raising the Bar. She guest-starred on FX's Wilfred earlier this month.
Whitney premieres on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
