James Van Deer Beek and girlfriend Kimberly Brook are expecting their first child together, the Dawson's Creek star announced Friday.
"Yes, it's true — the woman I love and I are expecting our first child... currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed," the 33-year-old actor tweeted.

Van Der Beek and Brook began dating in July following his April 2009 split from his wife of six years, Heather Ann McComb.
The former teen heartthrob joined the cast of the medical drama Mercy in January after stints on One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds and How I Met Your Mother.
