The involuntary manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray has been assigned a judge, according to The Associated Press.
Jackson family to face Dr. Conrad Murray in court
Members of Michael Jackson's family, including Joe, Katherine, Janet, Randy and Jermaine, were in the courtroom as Judge Michael Pastor was assigned the case, according to TMZ.com. Pastor will preside over a preliminary hearing to decide whether Murray can keep his medical license, which was revoked pending trial.
Report: Michael Jackson's doctor halted CPR
Murray pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson, 50, who died on June 25 from acute propofol intoxication, a drug which Murray said he had been administering to Jackson.
