Joshua Jackson and Melissa McCarthy are going to have an early wake-up call on July 14.

The Fringe and Mike & Molly stars have been tapped to announce the nominations for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. They will join Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Chairman John Shaffner to make the big announcement at 8:40 a.m. EST/5:40 PST.

Emmys: TVGuide.com's picks for Lead Actress in a Comedy

Although being selected to make the big announcement can serve as a good omen for possible Emmy recognition, it doesn't always equal a nomination. Last year, Sofia Vergara was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for Modern Family, but her fellow announcer Joel McHale failed to garner a nod for his work on Community. However, in 2009, both announcers -- Jim Parsons and Chandra Wilson -- received nominated.

The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmys, hosted by Jane Lynch, will air on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 8/7c on Fox.
