Ice Cube Sets Sights on New NBC Series

Ice Cube

NBC has warmed up to another "Ice"-y rapper-turned-actor.

Ice Cube has signed on to helm a buddy cop comedy series for the Peacock, Variety reports. (Lest we forget, Ice-T stars on that dramatic cop series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.)

Currently untitled, the one-hour series will be written by the former NWA member and produced via his production company, Cube Vision, alongside Universal Media. However, Cube himself is not set to star in the show, although he may make some very special guest appearances and create the opening credits number.

Cube, who's written a handful of movie scripts, including the Friday series, was most recently seen in the pigskin dramedy The Longshots.
