Hunger Games has found its drunk former champ.
Woody Harrelson has been cast as Haymitch Abernathy in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' dystopian novel, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
As a young man, Haymitch was once victorious at the 50th Hunger Games but became an alcoholic after surviving the horrors of the arena. As a mentor, he coaches District 12 tribute Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

Harrelson joins a cast that includes Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks and Paula Malcomson.
In addition, Jeremy Marinas and Dakota Hood have been cast as the District 10 tributes.
The majority of the 24 tributes, who fight to their death to become the ultimate victor, have been cast. Only Cato and Clove of District 2 remain. The roles of Cinna and President Snow also remain open.
