House's Lisa Edelstein has signed on for a multi-episode arc on The Good Wife next season, TVLine.com reports.
The 44-year-old actress, who left the Fox series after contract negotiations for her return fell through, will play a lawyer who has a penchant for poker and may have ties to Will (Josh Charles). She will first appear early in the third season.
Lisa Edelstein leaving House
News that Edelstein was leaving House came just one week before the seventh-season finale, leaving no time for a proper sendoff for her character, Cuddy. Edelstein's sudden departure leaves Olivia Wilde as the only female cast member. But, as was the case this season, Wilde may not appear full-time next year to focus on her burgeoning movie career. Hugh Laurie and Peter Jacobson are still under contract.
Reps for the CBS series did not immediately respond to TVGuide.com's request for comment.
