Keck's Exclusives First Look: One Day Reunion on Hot in Cleveland

Hot in Cleveland's latest stunt casting will reunite former One Day at a Time stars Valerie Bertinelli and Pat Harrington Jr. But the happy occasion has been tainted by the news that their former costar, Bonnie Franklin, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. "I told her my family is going to be on its knees praying for her," reports Harrington, who won an Emmy and Golden Globe for portraying nosy superintendent Dwayne Schneider on the 1975-1984 sitcom. "Bonnie's our leader and she's got muscle."
Harrington, 83, says he speaks at least once a month with Franklin, who last year made her own Cleveland guest appearance. Harrington will play Mr. Sherden on the TV Land sitcom, the innocent-minded manager of the apartment building where Bertinelli's character's new love interest (Jay Harrington, no relation) lives. "Valerie's kept her beauty remarkably," says Harrington. "She's in her fifties but still looks like she's 11."
