Is the Heroes Wrap-Up Movie Dead?

Zachary Quinto, Heroes

Heroes fans holding out hope for a miniseries or movie to wrap up the once-powerful NBC drama might want to stop reading now.

Is there power left in Heroes?

The Season 4 finale is the last you'll see of the cancelled series on NBC, according to Entertainment Weekly. The magazine cited a source close to the production saying the network was not moving forward with a movie to tie up the series' loose ends.

NBC declined to comment and Heroes creator Tim Kring did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

In June, Kring met with NBC executives to discuss a possible wrap-up for the series that he said would skip ahead a year and see how those with powers were coping after Claire (Hayden Panettierre) revealed her abilities.

"There will be a huge cultural and social change in the world," Kring said of the project at the time. "Some [of our characters] will be hiding, some struggling, some basking in the glory."

Kring told EW later that no decisions had been made, but it sounded as though the franchise would only live on in other media, such as comic books.
