Heath Ledger's final film still needs a studio, but the actor's fans will definitely get to see his last two directorial projects.
Two music videos directed by Ledger before his death will be released this year, according to Billboard. Modest Mouse will release the video for "King Rat," a bonus track from the band's 2007 album, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Australian newcomer Grace Woodroofe will also release the Ledger-directed video for her cover of David Bowie's "Quicksand."
Ledger landed the Modest Mouse gig after meeting singer Isaac Brock in Australia. The video is animated by Daniel Auber, a member of Ledger's art collective the Massive.
Woodroofe is also releasing her Ben Harper-produced debut album later this year. Ledger reportedly had plans to launch a record label with Harper, for whom he had also directed a music video ("Morning Yearning"). Woodroofe was to be the first artist signed to the label, according to Rolling Stone.
