Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig Appearance at Comic-Con Creates Nerdvana

Harrison Ford

That weird sound you heard Saturday was the howl of fan boys totally freaking out: Han Solo and James Bond showed up at Comic-Con at the same time.

Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig appeared in the famed Hall H, a space reserved for the really big moments, to promote Cowboys & Aliens, the new film by Iron Man director Jon Favreau. It was an especially big deal because Ford had never been to the previous 40 Comic-Con conventions, even for such supergeek touchpoints as Blade Runner, Star Wars or the Indiana Jones films.

The star received a long and rapturous welcome. Duh.

"Jon asked me to do it and it's hard to say no," Ford told The Los Angeles Times before his appearance. "I've never been here before, so we'll see how it goes."

Ford was escorted to the stage by security guards, which may have been a subtle joke about an altercation that broke out in the crowds earlier Saturday, HitFix reported.

Or maybe he just didn't want to face down any Greedos in attendance.
