Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon has landed a guest-starring role on NBC's Hannibal, TVLine.com reports.
Details on her role are scarce, but Shannon (Up All Night, Web Therapy) has the potential to recur — so she's likely not one of Hannibal Lecter's early victims.
Hannibal casts its leading lady
From Bryan Fuller, the contemporary adaptation is based on Thomas Harris' Red Dragon and stars Mads Mikkelsen as the titular psychopath, while Caroline Dhavernas will play a psychology professor and protégé of Hannibal's. Lawrence Fishburne and Hugh Dancy also star.
Hannibal is set to premiere midseason.
