Exclusive: Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice Doing Another Crossover

Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are doing another crossover episode, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Following the "If/Then" episode of Grey's — in which Kate Walsh will appear in an alternate reality that sees Ellis Grey (Kate Burton) alive and Addison and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) still married — Caterina Scorsone's Amelia will head to Seattle Grace for an episode slated for mid-February. Details are scarce, but both Derek and Lexie (Chyler Leigh) will also appear in the Private Practice hour of the crossover.
Grey's Anatomy reunites Derek and Addison — in another universe
During the Season 7 crossover, Amelia ventured to Seattle Grace in hopes of reconciling with Derek. The two had not been on speaking terms since Amelia turned to drugs while grieving the death of her father, who was shot and killed in front of her and Derek. Now that she's getting clean and sober again, the siblings will surely have plenty to talk about.
Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday at 9/8c followed by the midseason premiere of Private Practice at 10/9c on ABC.
