Johnson was initially brought in because of the Kings' limited experience, having created ABC's In Justice, which was canceled after only 13 episodes. Per the Reporter, the veteran showrunner was recruited for The Good Wife's 13-episode order while the Kings found their footing.

CBS picks pp The Good Wife and NCIS: LA for full seasons

Now that The Good Wife has secured an early full-season pickup, Johnson will depart to focus on development.
