Another familiar face is returning to The Good Wife this season.
Nathan Lane will reprise his role as Clarke Hayden this season, TVGuide.com has learned.
Hayden, who served as Lockhart/Gardner's court-appointed trustee during their bankruptcy, will return to help Cary (Matt Czuchry) as he and Alicia (Julianna Margulies) embark on starting their own firm. Clarke and Cary became fast friends last season, especially when Cary helped Clarke study for the bar exam when he decided to follow his dreams and become a lawyer. So it only makes sense that Clarke would return the favor. Lane will appear in Episode 7.

Lane earned an Emmy nomination for his turn as Clarke, but he and fellow Good Wife guest star nominee Michael J. Fox lost to Scandal's Dan Bucatinsky. Lane will take another shot at an Emmy this year after being nominated for his turn on Modern Family.
Lane joins previously announced returning guest stars including recent Emmy winner Carrie Preston, Stockard Channing, John Noble, America Ferrera and Gary Cole.
The Good Wife premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9/8c on CBS. Are you excited for Hayden's return?
