The Good Wife Casts Private Practice's Audra McDonald as Alicia's Nemesis

The Good Wife is getting a big blast from her past.
The CBS procedural has cast Private Practice alum Audra McDonald as Alicia's nemesis from law school, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Alicia (Julianna Margulies) will face off against McDonald's character once again in court. No word yet on whether McDonald's character also knew Will (Josh Charles) during their time at Georgetown. There is no airdate for her episode, but there is a chance McDonald could return.
The five-time Tony winner is the most recent in a long line of high-profile guest stars this season, including Nathan Lane, Kristin Chenoweth, Amanda Peet, Maura Tierney, Stockard Channing, as well as the recent return of Michael J. Fox. McDonald's husband, Will Swenson, guest-starred on The Good Wife last season.
McDonald will next be seen in the series finale of Private Practice, airing later this month on ABC. The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
