Nelly, Gloria Estefan, Joe Jonas, John Rich
The Next's Gloria Estefan says that although she's the only female mentor in a group that includes Joe Jonas, Nelly and John Rich, she's more trouble than the men! "I felt like the headmistress for the school of naughty boys, but I'm naughtier than the three of them put together," Estefan told TVGuide.com.

On the new CW singing competition series, the celebrity mentors travel to six cities over the course of the season and spend 72 hours to work with an up-and-coming musician. When the time is up, the four artists perform, and the audience votes for its favorite. Another element: Mentors spend the entire 72 hours with their mentees, experiencing their lives. Both Estefan and Jonas cite it as a reason they joined the project — though neither had any idea what they were getting themselves into.
"In the first episode, I babysit 15 crazy kids," Jonas said. "I play basketball with a college walk-on; I've cut hair— it's a good way for us to say, 'Look, we're just like you; we've had regular jobs and we've had to do things in our career to motivate us to get to where we are.' We get to take off that celebrity or musician hat." Estefan adds: "I have cut the grass on a riding mower, I learned how to make pizza, I [also] hauled a bunch of junk into the back of a van."
In the video interview below, Estefan talks more about The Next and how she'd reprise her role on Glee "in a heartbeat."
The Next airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
