Oxygen has canceled The Glee Project after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
"The Glee Project will not be returning to Oxygen, but we are extremely proud of this series, which launched the careers of several talented individuals. The show had so much heart and we thank Ryan Murphy and all of the creative talent who helped make the series a critical darling," Oxygen said in a statement.

The network had planned to keep The Glee Project consistent with Glee's airing pattern, but because the Fox musical wasn't renewed until April, there wasn't enough time to allow for a third season. If The Glee Project had moved forward, there would've been at least an 18-month wait before Season 3 was broadcast.
The Glee Project, which awarded each season's winner a role on Glee, provided the launching pad for the careers of Glee series regulars Alex Newell and Blake Jenner. Other Glee Project contestants, including Samuel Larsen, Damian McGinty and Lindsay Pearce, have also appeared on the Fox series, with Larsen still recurring.
A spokesperson for NBCUniversal says The Glee Project's cancellation was in no way related to Saturday's untimely death of Glee star Cory Monteith, who served as a mentor on the reality show.
