American Idol's Jessica Sanchez is officially heading to Glee, TVLine reports.
After rumors first linked the pint-sized vocal powerhouse to the hit Fox musical comedy back in June, Sanchez has finalized a deal to recur on the show. However, it is not yet known when she will make her debut or who she will play. Our best guess? Either the new lead singer of New Directions' longtime rival Vocal Adrenaline or maybe a new frenemy to square off against Rachel (Lea Michele) at NYADA.
Dianna Agron returns to Glee — and which other grad is following in her footsteps?
This won't be the first time Glee has pulled from the Idol roster for casting. Series regular Amber Riley auditioned for the singing competition during Season 2. Before becoming the runner-up on the 11th season of Idol, Sanchez, 17, appeared as a contestant on Season 1 of America's Got Talent in 2006. She most recently performed at the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina.
